About our Garlic
All of our varieties are USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC by Oregon Tilth (OTCO). We are committed to sustainable, organic growing methods, without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Our northern climate is especially suitable for the hardneck varieties we grow, which have shown to be vigorous during our cold winters and successfully emerge through a thick layer of mulch in spring.
Garlic is graded by size with the largest bulbs selling first. One pound of garlic contains from 5 to 10 or more bulbs, depending on the size. We sell only the highest quality - if we wouldn't plant it, we won't sell it!
Variety
Variety is the most important thing for growers and consumers to know about garlic. Each has fairly specific characteristics, including plant form, bulb appearance, clove shape and configuration, flowering habit and maturation. Individual strains within a variety vary as to flavor, heat, productivity and to some extent, storage life. Click on images below for more information on our varieties. |
